BIOGRAPHY
Nikolaus von Bemberg is a German pianist, composer, and curator who develops interdisciplinary stage works in collaboration with artists from a wide range of disciplines. At the core of his practice is a sensitive, meaningful integration of media at the intersection of concert, theater, and film. His stage works create fragmented, multi-layered spaces in which live music, field recordings, video, electronic sounds, songs, and language come together and form a distinct narrative structure.
He is a co-founder of the collective Die Zelle (focused on theater) and the collective Munich Operating Theater (focused on music theater).
